Important Notes When Using RDL Baby Face Solutions To Avoid Potential Side Effects

  • Always Wear Sunblock While Using RDL Baby Face Astringents

The most important tip when using RDL Baby Face solutions is that you must always wear sunscreen while you are under the treatment. Also, you better off to reduce the sun exposure as possible. In addition, you have to renew sunscreen application every 3-5 hours while you are under sun exposure. As your skin will be peeling while using RDL Baby Astringents, your skin will be like a baby and could easily burn. We recommend to use RDL Sunblock Cream SPF15 25ml for best results.

  • Do Not Rub!

You might be tempted to rub or scratch your skin while your skin is reacting to the solutions. As said earlier, your skin is peeling to reveal the new skin beneath. During peeling, you might feel the trigger to scratch to relieve the itchiness or remove the skin flakes. However, you shouldn’t scratch. Let the flakes slough away by their own. Scratching may cause further irritation.

  • Do Not Use RDL No.3 or No.2 For 2 (Two) Months in a Row

If you are using RDL Baby Face No.3 or No.2, don’t use it for prolonged period. The maximum recommended interval to use it without downtime is 2 (two) months. Then, if you want to use again or switch to another RDL Baby Face variant; for example, switch to RDL Baby Face No.2 after you have finished No.3, it is recommended to have a downtime for 2 weeks to a month before using again or switching. Give your skin time to heal, grow more new cells and breathe.

  • Use a Suitable Moisturizer if You Experience Severe Side Effects

If you experience severe redness or irritation while using RDL Baby Face Astringents, you can use a suitable moisturizer to relieve such side effects. We recommend to use RDL Whitening Cream with Moisturizer 25ml for best results.

  1. Hi, I tried using RDL once but I got a dark spot in my face. It makes me scared because it looks like a melasma. Is it possible to have a melasma after using RDL?

  2. Hi..Pls I am using RDL No.2,like I earlier explained, the skin in some parts are lighter than others especially my forehead is yet to show changes,is it normal because some think I’m using bleaching cream, would it with time even out ?

  3. Hi..I just got RDL No.2 and have been using it for about 2 weeks now every night .I have noticed my complexion is getting lighter cos it was one of the reasons I decided to start it,to lighten my skin which was dark due to excessive sun exposure. So some parts of my face is lighter while my forehead is yet to show any visible changes.I would like to know for how long do I need to use it for my tone and complexion to be even?

  4. Hi, I’m new to the RDL journey and I started with no2 but I now know I should of started with no3. My main concern is Melasma. I’ve been using no 2 for nearly two weeks. How long of a break to now start no 3 please ?

    1. Hello Herna,

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your experience with the RDL journey. It’s great to hear that you’re looking to switch to RDL No. 3 and address your main concern of melasma.

When transitioning from RDL No. 2 to No. 3, it is generally recommended to take a break of around one month before starting the new product. This break allows your skin to adjust and ensures a smoother transition between the two formulations. During this break period, it’s essential to continue using a suitable sunscreen and RDL cleanser and maintaining a consistent skincare routine to protect your skin and maintain its health.

    2. Is it normal to feel a burning sensation and my face turn red when using a moisturizer? I’m currently using rdl#2 and my face done peeling.

  5. Hi. I used RDL#3 on my armpits and the effect is so nice, it really whitens my armpits but the problem is the redness around the area. It’s not sore but it’s itchy and there are some little itchy bumps around it. What do I have to do about it? Can I switch to RDL#1 and continue to use it? Btw I am using aloe gel to moisturize.

    1. Hello Rona Ilas,

It sounds like you may be experiencing an allergic or irritant reaction to the hydroquinone and tretinoin product you are using on your armpits. The redness, itching, and small bumps you are experiencing are common signs of a contact dermatitis reaction. This type of reaction can be caused by a number of factors, including the strength of the product, the frequency of use, and individual skin sensitivity.

I would recommend discontinuing use of the hydroquinone and tretinoin product on your armpits, and allowing your skin to recover before using any other products. You can continue to use the aloe gel to soothe and moisturize your skin. If the itching and redness persist or worsen, you may want to consult with a dermatologist or other medical professional to ensure that your skin is not experiencing a serious reaction.

Once your skin has fully healed, you may be able to use a milder whitening product, such as the melawhite RDL#1 that you mentioned. However, it’s important to start with a patch test on a small area of skin before using the product on a larger area to ensure that you don’t experience any further irritation or allergic reactions. Additionally, be sure to follow the product instructions carefully, and avoid overusing or over-applying the product to prevent further skin irritation.

    1. Skin peeling and redness may occur for a period of time after using certain skincare products with active ingredients such as Hydroquinone and Tretinoin. This is a normal reaction and may last for a few days to a 4 weeks, depending on the sensitivity of your skin. However, if the redness, itching, and burning sensation persist, it may be a sign of an allergic reaction or a more severe skin irritation. You can reduce the frequency of RDL use to be twice a week until your skin adjusts to the product, then increase the frequency gradually.
